Discover the new updates that have been made to Data Replication Service (DRS), Document Database Service (DDS) and Relational Database Service (RDS).
Distributed Database Middleware (DDM)
Distributed Database Middleware (DDM) is a database middleware service (to be developed into a distributed relational database service) that is compatible with MySQL licenses. It uses a storage-compute decoupled architecture that makes it easy to scale out compute and storage resources to handle a huge number of concurrent requests.

Relational Database Service (RDS)
Optimize the following performance parameters for MySQL 8.0:
– innodb_doublewrite_files = innodb_buffer_pool_instances x 2
– innodb_doublewrite_pages =120
Change the default value of internal_tmp_mem_storage_engine to temptable for MySQL 8.0.21 and later versions and to memory for versions earlier than 8.0.21.
Detect the access to primary instance and read replica ports for standby instances.
Support time zone UTC+6:30 and UTC+5:30 for creating a DB instance and modifying the time zone.
Improve the reliability of read replica migration.
Optimize instance creation failure alarms: Add alarm 5012253 Failed to Create a DB Instance Due to Lack of Compute Resources.
Change the default value of the slave_preserve_commit_order parameter to OFF for MySQL 5.6.
Add alias in the API for querying details about DB instances.
Add rds_xa_crash_safe to control whether to enable the function of recovering distributed transactions from a crash.
Support Database/User management on Console
|Optimize the default parameter templates for PostgreSQL 10, 11, 12, and Enhanced Edition.
|Include the following sensitive operations for protection: downloading backup files, deleting backups, and restoring backups of PostgreSQL databases.
|Support Chinese characters in DB instance names.
