Introducing two new highly Performant Elastic Volume Service (EVS) flavours

What’s new?

We are excited to announce the availability of two new Elastic Volume Service (EVS) flavours in our Paris and Amsterdam datacenters. These new offerings are specifically designed to meet the demands of high-value scenarios, including massive workloads, AI applications, big data processing, and low-latency requirements.

Elastic Volume Service (EVS)

Extreme SSD

Our Extreme SSD EVS disks are engineered to deliver exceptional performance with a maximum IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) of 128,000. This makes them ideal for intensive workloads that demand super-high bandwidth and ultra-low latency. Whether you’re running Oracle databases or AI applications, these disks provide the power you need to achieve optimum performance.

General Purpose SSD

The General Purpose SSD EVS disks deliver a maximum IOPS of 20,000, making them well-suited for workloads that require high throughput and low latency. They are a versatile option for various use cases, including enterprise office automation, development and testing environments, web server logging, containerized applications, and high-performance system disks.
