Key Management Service (KMS) is a secure, reliable and easy-to-use cloud service that helps users create, manage and protect keys centrally. It uses hardware security modules (HSM) to protect keys. All keys are protected by root keys in the HSMs to prevent key leakage. KMS implements access control and log tracking for all key operations and provides usage records for all keys to meet audit and compliance requirements.
The deployment of KMS in Amsterdam will provide:
– Extensive Service IntegrationKMS is integrated with Object Storage Service (OBS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), and Image Management Service (IMS), to manage keys for these services on the KMS console, and encrypt and decrypt your local data by making KMS API calls.
– Regulatory ComplianceKeys are generated by third-party validated HSMs in compliance with international laws and regulations.
Supported services (enabling encryption) are Object Storage Service, Elastic Volume Service, Image Management Service and soon Relational Database Service !
