New Cloud Eye upgrade

Flexible Engine
Release Notes

January, 2023

What’s new?

An upgrade has been made on Cloud Eye Service (CES): it can now provide monitoring metrics to Scalable File Service (SFS) which enables scalable, high-performance file storage.

Cloud Eye Service (CES)

What is it?

Cloud Eye is a multi-dimensional resource monitoring service which allows users to set alarm rules, identify resource exceptions, and quickly respond to resource changes.

Functions

  • Automatic monitoring: monitoring starts automatically after resources such as Elastic Cloud Servers (ECSs) have been created. On the Cloud Eye console, you can view the service status and set alarm rules for these resources.
  • Flexible alarm rule notification: alarm rules can be created for multiple resources at the same time and easily modifed, enabled/disabled, or deleted at any time. For more information, see Alarm Rule Management.
  • Real-time notification: you can enable Alarm Notification when creating alarm rules. When the cloud service status changes and metrics reach the thresholds specified in alarm rules, Cloud Eye notifies you by emails, or by sending messages to server addresses, allowing for close monitoring of cloud resource status and changes in real time.
  • Monitoring panel: facilitates the monitoring of data cross-service and cross-dimension. It displays key metrics, providing an overview of the service status and monitoring details that you can use for troubleshooting. For more information, see Introduction to Monitoring Panels.
