API Gateway
What is it?
This API hosting service helps enterprises build, manage, and deploy Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) at any scale.
Main differences between dedicated and shared gateways
- API Gateway offers a shared gateway and dedicated gateways. You can use the shared gateway from the start or purchase dedicated gateways to manage the APIs.
- Dedicated gateways facilitate the decoupling of internal systems within an enterprise. Services deployed in VPCs communicate with each other through RESTful APIs with high network security. Dedicated gateways support the deployment of front-end or back-end services on public networks, and these services are accessed using Elastic IPs (EIPs).
